I’ve been a (hard) working journalist for more than two decades, but rarely get to tell people’s real stories. My focus is always on events or tragedies — not on the individuals themselves. This is an attempt to showcase regular folk — not politicians or community leaders — so we can learn more about who we live among. I’ve interviewed thousands of people over the years, and have heard tales that might surprise or amaze, fill hearts with warmth or rage, disappointment or inspiration. They are stories journalists don’t often get to tell because they’re not “newsworthy”; but that doesn’t mean they don’t have value, or that they shouldn’t be heard. So I’m taking the time to document these accounts. I hope you’ll make the time to read them.
